Fresh from their victory at the 2024 Buenos Aires IGLA Championship – the world being tossed into Turmoil and Chaos – The Toronto Triggerfish Welcome the “Districts” from around the globe to join us for a Tournament of Epic Proportions in Toronto, Ontario, Canada - on April 11-13, 2025.
For this year’s tournament – Registration is available for participants in two Tournament Divisions:
Challenger of the Champions Series (Competitive Division)
Quest of the Tributes Series (Recreational Division)
Fees Associated with the Polopalooza Tournament
Triggerfish Member Fee: $75.00
Non-Member Individual Fee: $85.00

IF IN CANADA: funds are to be e-transferred to: finance@triggerfishwaterpolo.ca. Funds must be received no later than April 1, 2025. (To help out Treasurer Shane, in the memo, please put your name and that it’s for Polopalooza Registration, and also set the answer to question as Triggerfish.)

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
Challengers of the Champions Series (Competitive Division)
– Compete at an Intermediate/Advanced level of Water Polo against the Champions of IGLA 2024 – our Hometown Heros of the Districts - The Toronto Triggerfish
Some Terms and Conditions Apply:
- Minimum 4 Teams must Register in the Intermediate/Advanced Division for the Tournament to Happen, or Tournament will be transitioned into an All-Levels Tournament
- Participants may Register as a Solo Entry (where they will be assigned to a District) – Or Register as a Team for this Division for Non-Members
- This Tournament Level Encourages a Minimum of 3+ Years Experience Playing in Water polo – and Prior Tournament Experience Highly Recommended
The Quest of the Tributes Series (Recreational Division)
–Compete at a Beginner/Intermediate level of Water Polo against teams from around the Globe – as we form Districts to engage in an all-inclusive Tournament designed to build confidence in Tournament Play
Some Terms and Conditions Apply:
- Minimum 4 Teams must Register in the Beginner/Intermediate Division for the Tournament to Happen – or Tournament will be transitioned into an All-Levels Tournament
- Participants may Register as a Solo Entry (where they will be assigned to a District) – or Register as a Team for this Division for Non-Members
- This Tournament Level Encourages First-Time Participants Experience Playing in a Water polo tournament – and Prior Tournament Experience is Welcome (recommended for players under 3 years experience, or no prior tournament experience)

Sunday, April 6th, 2025 - “The Reaping” Ceremony
Hosted at: the Lodge - 580 Church Street, Toronto, ON

The Reaping Ceremony is an event exclusive to the Triggerfish Family - as a way to Celebrate and Recognize our First Time Participants joining the Ranks of the Toronto Triggerfish Recreational and Competitive Teams. We are honoured and privileged to have special guests “Effie Trinket” and “Cesar Flickerman” as our hosts for the Ceremony.
Friday, April 11th, 2025 - “The Districts Align”
Hosted at: the Lodge and O’Gradys - 580 Church Street, Toronto, ON

The Districts Align is a Meet and Greet Social Event to Welcome all of the Teams participating in Polopalooza. This social is hosted in a queer space where we can grab a beverage; have a snack and get to know some players from all across Canada and the United States (and even some players from around the world).

The WTN Classic Match - 12:00PM - 1:00PM*
The WTN Classic Match this year will have 2 ways to participate. Our Classic WTN Match will provide a space and spotlight for WTN players around the world. The North Side Pool will host a classic WTN Match (a complimentary match offered to all WTN participants), and the South Side Pool will host a second match for all players open to donating to support WTN programming within the Toronto Triggerfish. Our fundraising goal for the WTN Network is $1000 this weekend. A suggested donation of $20 is encouraged for participation.

Special Guest: “Celine Dion” Impersonator
Hosted alongside our WTN Representative - this dinner is an opportunity to provide a space for all of our WTN players to come and connect. All players are welcome to the table for dinner. Special Guest: Celine Dion will be on site, with options to sing along (in English, ou en Français) to some Celine Dion classics at dinner.

“A Night Out with The Triggerfish” At “The Red Dress Ball"

The Red Dress Ball is a not-for-profit fundraiser hosted once a year here in Toronto. This year - the Red Dress Ball has generously offered us Special Access at a Discounted Rate to their special event (as the Red Dress Ball is coordinated by two of our Triggerfish Family). All proceeds from the Red Dress Ball are used to support people living with HIV and AIDS here in Toronto.
