Financial Support

To support our commitment to participation by members of the LGBTQ+ community, we aim to provide services regardless of financial ability. If funds are preventing you from joining the Toronto Triggerfish, please speak with either the President, Vice-President, or Treasurer in confidence, or send an e-mail to finance@triggerfishwaterpolo.ca.

All requests will be handled in confidence. Keep in mind that financial support can not be guaranteed and depends on the club's financial position.

Pausing Membership Due to Personal Illness/Injury

If you have a personal illness or injury that prevents you from playing water polo, please speak with the President/VP as well as your division representative.

Pausing Membership for Other Reasons

The club operates at a high capacity and has a long waitlist of those in the community who would like to join. As such, we are not able to accept requests to pause memberships. If you do not renew your membership at the start of each season or if you do not make a payment, the club will assume that you have decided to leave the club. If you’d like to rejoin in the future, please reach out (you’ll be considered as an alum/na).

OWP/WPC (Ontario Water Polo & Water Polo Canada) Player Insurance

In addition to the Triggerfish membership fees, OWP/WPC requires all members to pay player insurance. Your insurance covers you for the entirety of each season (September 1-August 31) and is not prorated if you join or leave mid-season.

Each member needs to individually register and pay through the RAMP system, for which instructions can be found here.

Please note that OWP/WPC does not issue full/partial refunds under any situation. Members are also not able to downgrade their player insurance mid-season.

Make A Splash For members and coaches who will attend practices only and not participate in tournaments $26.79
Water Polo For Life For members and coaches who will attend practices and participate in any tournament (domestic and international, incl. Polopalooza) $64.72

Insurance Upgrades on Ramp

You may upgrade your insurance level mid-season by following the same instructions. RAMP will calculate the difference between what you already paid and the higher tier of player insurance.
