The 2024-25 Executive Team
The Triggerfish are a volunteer run, not-for-profit athletics club. Our Executive Team are members elected to coordinate, manage, and run the daily activities of the club. They work with the team’s coaches to arrange activities, both social and competitive.
As volunteers, the Executive Team is always happy to receive the support of club members in contributing back to the club on committees, planning or otherwise.

Proud to be president of the Triggerfish and to serve this awesome community.
I'm a total geek at heart— talk to me about Science, Star Trek and strategic game nights—but my true quest is to further promote and enrich the Triggerfish and get everyone more play opportunities.
Oh, and my fishname? It’s Orcaward—I will let you figure out why...
Aidan Mitchelmore (he/him)

I am happy to serve on the executive as your Recreational Athlete Representative. What makes Triggerfish special is its diverse, supportive, and talented community, and I am excited to hear more of our member’s ideas and initiatives. See you at the pool!
Joshua Pitman (he/him)

Josh is very excited to be your DEI Rep and he also has a very charming accent.
Paul Wollaston (he/him)

Paul has been with the Triggerfish for like a super-long time. He is also handsome with a good head of hair.

Peter is reticent to talk about himself, but really takes his role of Comp Rep seriously!
Adam Hunter (he/him)
Social Events Coordinator
events@triggerfishwaterpolo.ca
Adam joined Triggerfish in 2023. Since then, he’s competed in tournaments in Toronto, Montreal and Buenos Aires. He applied to be the social events coordinator because he really enjoyed the many club-organized social events he attended and wants to plan fun future events that will hopefully provide other Triggerfish members (especially the newer ones) with the same wonderful social experiences he’s had. Besides water polo, Adam enjoys tennis, cycling, hiking, paddle sports and scuba diving.
Shane Hale (he him)
Treasurer

When not in the water trying to play goalie, you can find me either in the classroom or helping others in the community.
Pablo Seto (he/him)
Tournaments Coordinator
tournaments@triggerfishwaterpolo.ca
I am delighted to be the Tournament Coordinator for the 2024 to 2025 season. As Tournament Coordinator, I hope to facilitate an enjoyable tournament experience for our club members with tournament logistics, registration, and travel insights. Water polo tournaments are a great way to develop player skills, strengthen intra-club bonds, and build community with the greater global water polo community. I can personally attest to this as I met my partner while competing in the Paris Gay Games in 2018 and have made many friends at other international tournaments including Stockholm, Edmonton, Washington DC, New York, Melbourne, London, and Sydney. I look forward to being your tournament coordinator for the 2024-2025 season and wish a fruitful, fun, and fabulous season for the Triggerfish family.

Rob Deneau (he/him)
Polopalooza Coordinator
polopalooza@triggerfishwaterpolo.ca
A personal trainer and competitor; my passion for athletics has encouraged me to compete, explore and travel around the world. In 2021, I joined the Triggerfish - a team that truly embodies inclusion with athletics; that is arguably the largest LGBTQ+ waterpolo team in Canada. It’s been an honour to be a part of the journey. As Polopalooza Coordinator - I am responsible for carrying the torch and traditions of Toronto’s Polopalooza Tournament - scheduled for April 11-13th; 2025. I am thrilled to be a part of the process of creating connections for queer people through the sport of water polo. We look forward to your participation!

Nico Camargo (he/they)
Equipment Manager
equipment@triggerfishwaterpolo.ca
Nico is a queer swimmer with over 20 years of experience, starting their love for the water at just eight years old in Colombia. Though they've been into fitness and sports for ages, 2023 was a big year—Nico jumped into water polo for the first time! Known in the pool for being sneaky and fast like a "Speedy González," they’ve quickly made a name for themselves. In 2024, Nico became Triggerfish’s Equipment Manager, saying, “It’s my way of giving back to Triggerfish for everything I get out of it—lots of water polo, friends, awesome memories, and tournaments!
